Converting raster to vector, often called auto-tracing or vectorization, is a fundamental operation in graphic design and print production. It is required when:
- You need to print a logo at large format and only have a low-resolution PNG
- A print shop or embroidery machine requires an SVG or EPS file
- You want to edit logo colors or paths in a vector editor like Illustrator or Inkscape
- You're preparing artwork for vinyl cutting, laser engraving, or screen printing
