SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is the web and print industry standard for logos, icons, and illustrations. Unlike raster formats — PNG, JPG, BMP — SVG files do not store pixels. They store mathematical path descriptions, which means they render perfectly at any resolution from a favicon to a billboard.
Converting any image to SVG involves auto-tracing: the engine analyzes pixel boundaries and reconstructs them as vector shapes. Direct protected-preview input accepts PNG, JPEG, or WebP; other source formats must be exported first.
Why convert to SVG? Because raster files fail at scale. A 200×200px PNG logo looks fine on a website but prints blurry on a banner or fails completely for embroidery. SVG has no resolution limit. It is also significantly smaller in file size for graphics with solid color regions, which improves page load performance.
The output can be reviewed downstream in brand kits, Figma files, web headers, and prepared for downstream print review artwork.
