Convert Raster to EPS

Any raster image format can be converted to EPS vector by tracing it into paths first. The vectorization step is essential — it converts pixels to the scalable paths that EPS requires.

About Convert raster image to EPS

EPS is a PostScript-based vector format that contains mathematical path descriptions of shapes, not pixels. To convert a raster image (PNG, JPG, BMP, or TIFF) to EPS, you must first vectorize the raster — tracing the pixel data into paths — then export those paths in EPS format.

Step 1: Vectorize the raster. Upload the image to the Logo Vectorizer. The tool auto-traces the image into a clean SVG with vector paths and solid colour fills.

Step 2: Export as EPS. Open the SVG in Illustrator or Inkscape and save as EPS. In Illustrator: File > Save As > EPS. In Inkscape: File > Save a Copy > Encapsulated PostScript.

Step 3: Verify the EPS. Open the EPS in a viewer (Preview on macOS, GSview on Windows) to confirm the paths look correct before delivering it to a print service or cutting machine.

Best input images for raster-to-EPS conversion: logos with flat solid colours, black-and-white line art, icons with clear edges, and monochrome designs. Complex photographs do not vectorize well — use PDF or TIFF for photographic print work.

Common uses for raster-to-EPS conversions: signage and large-format printing, vinyl cutting and plotter work, older CAD and design software that only accepts PostScript formats, and embroidery digitizing software.
