About Convert image to EPS

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is a vector format used extensively in professional print production, especially in older design workflows and preflight systems. Converting a raster image like a PNG or JPG to EPS requires a vectorization step — tracing the pixel art into mathematical paths that can be saved as PostScript data.

The workflow: upload the PNG or JPG to the Logo Vectorizer. The tool converts the raster image to a clean SVG with vector paths and shape fills. Download the SVG, then open it in Illustrator (File > Save As > EPS) or Inkscape (File > Save a Copy > EPS) to produce the final EPS file.

For logos with flat colours and clean edges, vectorization produces excellent EPS files. For photographs or complex gradients, EPS is not the ideal format — use TIFF or PDF for photographic print production instead.

EPS files produced from vectorized logos are useful for: legacy print workflows, die-cutting and engraving machines that require PostScript input, signage production software, and embroidery machines that import EPS as a path guide.

When saving as EPS from Illustrator, use EPS version 10 for maximum compatibility with older systems. Avoid transparency in EPS files destined for older RIP (Raster Image Processor) workflows — flatten transparency before saving if needed.
