Artwork for Teespring
Teespring, now rebranded as Spring, is a print-on-demand platform for apparel and accessories. Uploading artwork that meets the platform's resolution and format requirements ensures the highest print quality across all product types.
About Artwork for Teespring
Spring (formerly Teespring) accepts PNG files for most product designs. Here are the complete file requirements for uploading artwork correctly.
File format: Spring requires PNG with a transparent background for designs that should show the garment colour through. JPG is accepted but produces white backgrounds on dark shirts. For all apparel designs, use PNG with transparency.
Resolution requirements: Spring recommends at least 4500 × 5400 pixels at 300 DPI for front/back full designs. For smaller graphic placement (left chest, pocket), a minimum of 1800 × 1800 pixels is acceptable. Files below 72 DPI are flagged as low quality.
File size: Spring accepts files up to 25MB. Very large files may time out during upload. If your PNG is over 20MB, resize to the minimum required dimensions before uploading.
Transparency: ensure the background layer is removed before uploading. Designs with white backgrounds appear white-boxed on dark garments. Use the background removal tool to get a clean transparent PNG if your original has a background.
Colour: Spring prints in CMYK. Design in RGB for screen accuracy, but expect some colour shift in the final printed product — particularly with bright blues, purples, and neon colours that are outside the CMYK gamut.
For logos: if you are starting from a vector SVG or AI file, export it as a high-resolution PNG (4500px minimum) with a transparent background before uploading to Spring.
