Printify connects sellers to 80+ print providers worldwide. Different providers have different minimum resolution and file size requirements — uploading the highest-quality source file ensures compatibility across all provider options and maximum print quality.
About Artwork for Printify
Printify routes orders to third-party print providers including Printify Print Providers, Monster Digital, District Photo, and SwiftPOD. Because different providers have different technical specs, the safest strategy is always to submit the highest-resolution file possible.
Printify file requirements: - Format: PNG with transparent background (required for most apparel and accessories). - Resolution: 300 DPI at the print area dimensions. Higher is always safer given provider variability. - Colour mode: RGB. - Maximum file size: 200 MB per file. - Transparent background: required. Providers apply white underbase for dark garments based on the PNG transparency mask.

How to prepare artwork for Printify: 1. Upload the design PNG to the vectorizer above. 2. Download the SVG for clean vector editing at any scale. 3. In Inkscape, scale to the required product print area size. 4. Export as a 300 DPI PNG with transparent background. 5. Upload to the Printify product editor and preview across available providers. 6. Select the provider with the best combination of quality, price, and location for the target market.
