Artwork for Printful
Printful is the leading print-on-demand fulfillment service used by Etsy, Shopify, and WooCommerce stores. Each Printful product has specific print area dimensions and file resolution requirements — uploading substandard files causes artwork rejection errors and delayed fulfillment.
About Artwork for Printful
Printful prints and ships products directly to customers on behalf of store owners. File rejections are a major friction point — they cause fulfillment delays, customer complaints, and potential refunds. Meeting Printful's file standards from the start prevents all of these issues.
Printful file requirements: - Format: PNG with transparent background (preferred for all apparel and most accessories); SVG is accepted for some products. - Resolution: 150 DPI minimum at print area size; 300 DPI strongly recommended. - Colour mode: RGB. - Maximum file size: 200 MB per file. - Background: transparent PNG only. Printful's system applies white ink underbase for dark garments based on the PNG transparency mask — a white-background PNG adds an unwanted white rectangle.
Printful print area dimensions (selected products): - Unisex T-shirt front (Bella + Canvas 3001): 12 × 16 inches → 3600 × 4800 px at 300 DPI - Hoodie front: 12 × 16 inches - Classic mug (11 oz): 8.5 × 3 inches → 2550 × 900 px at 300 DPI - Embroidered hat: 2.5 × 2.5 inches → 750 × 750 px at 300 DPI - Tote bag: 13.5 × 13.5 inches → 4050 × 4050 px at 300 DPI
