Sublimation transfers use heat and pressure to bond dye into the substrate surface. The Epson or Sawgrass sublimation printer prints from raster files, but the source artwork should be vector to ensure sharpness across all substrate dimensions.
For logo sublimation on merchandise: vectorize the logo once, then scale the SVG to each substrate template (mug, tumbler, t-shirt, hat) and export at 300 DPI for each. No resolution loss — the vector scales cleanly every time.
Color accuracy in sublimation: sublimation uses CMYK dye, but the visual result on the substrate often shifts. For logo sublimation, match logo colors in Illustrator using the Epson/Sawgrass ICC profile for the specific substrate.
