Uploading an SVG to Cricut Design Space: 1. The protected preview is available without an account; editable SVG export requires paid or complimentary access. 2. Open Cricut Design Space. 3. Click Upload > Browse and select your SVG file. 4. Design Space reads the SVG and presents it as a cuttable design. 5. Add to canvas, resize as needed. 6. Assign cut or draw operations to each layer and color. 7. Load material, set blade, and cut.
SVG best practices for Cricut: — Use filled hollow paths rather than stroke-only outlines (Cricut cuts the outline of filled shapes). — Simplify complex paths — fewer anchor points mean smoother cuts. — For multi-color designs: keep each color on a separate path layer. — For heat transfer vinyl: mirror the design before cutting.
