Vector File for Business Cards

Business card printers require vector logos for sharp, clean results. If your logo is only available as a PNG or JPG, convert it to vector format first — then export as PDF or EPS for professional delivery.

About Vector file for business cards

Business cards are one of the most precision-sensitive printing jobs. At the small business card size (85×55mm standard), any pixelation or blurring in a logo becomes very noticeable. Print shops almost universally require vector artwork — typically as a PDF, AI, or EPS file.

If you have your logo as a PNG or JPG, the solution is to vectorize it first. Upload the logo to the Logo Vectorizer. The tool traces the raster logo into clean SVG paths. Download the SVG and open it in Illustrator, Inkscape, or Canva Pro to compose the business card layout.

For business card production: set the document to 85×55mm (or the format your printer requires) with 3mm bleed on all sides. Place the vector logo at the desired position. Add contact information in a matching font. Export as PDF/X-1a for offset printing, or standard PDF for digital print services.

For full-colour CMYK business cards, ensure the SVG colours are converted to CMYK values that match your brand. Many online printers also accept RGB PDF files and perform the colour conversion themselves.

For letterpress and spot-colour printing, the printer will need a single-colour version of the logo — usually a white or black SVG. Create the spot-colour variant from the vectorized SVG by adjusting fill colours in Illustrator.
