For corporate embroidery programs — uniforms, caps, polos, bags — you will need the same logo vectorized once and then used across many orders. The SVG file is reusable, resizable, and archive-stable. Keep it with your brand assets.
For custom home embroidery with a Brother, Janome, or Bernina machine: these machines use stitch files (PES, DST, JEF) not SVG directly. You will need digitizing software to convert the SVG to a stitch file. The SVG is the intermediate step that produces much better stitch file output than tracing directly in the machine's software.
