Convert HEIC to SVG
HEIC is the default photo format on iPhone and iPad. To use an iPhone photo as a vector graphic — for cutting machines, print, or design — convert it to SVG by vectorizing the image.
About Convert HEIC to SVG
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Codec) is the compressed photo format used by Apple devices since iOS 11. While HEIC photos are smaller in file size than JPEG, most design tools and vector workflows do not natively support HEIC files. Converting HEIC to SVG requires two steps: first convert the HEIC to a raster format (PNG or JPEG), then vectorize that raster image to produce SVG paths.
Our converter handles this automatically. Upload your HEIC file directly — the tool decodes the HEIC, extracts the image, and runs it through the AI vectorizer to produce a clean SVG output.
Best results come from HEIC photos with high contrast, clear subject separation, and minimal background clutter — logos, illustrations, product shots, and hand-drawn artwork all vectorize well. Detailed photographic scenes will produce complex SVG paths; for those, consider enabling the simplified tracing option to reduce anchor point density.
Common uses for HEIC to SVG conversion: turning iPhone-photographed hand lettering into cut files for Cricut or Silhouette, vectorizing hand-drawn logos captured on iPhone, and converting product photos to vector illustrations for print or merchandise.
