The conversion reads BMP pixel data directly, identifies color region boundaries, and reconstructs them as scalable vector paths. The resulting vector file is scalable without raster pixelation without quality degradation.
BMP files are common in older Windows software, legacy design archives, and industrial engineering systems. Converting these graphics to SVG modernizes them for current workflows. Web delivery, Figma integration, cutting machines, and professional print production all require SVG or EPS rather than raw BMP format.
