About How to upscale a logo
Logo upscaling uses AI-powered super-resolution to increase the pixel dimensions of a logo while preserving and enhancing edge sharpness. Standard bicubic or bilinear upscaling blurs the result — AI upscaling adds realistic detail and keeps edges crisp.
When to upscale a logo: - Your client provided a small PNG logo (e.g., 200×200px) but you need at least 1000×1000px for print - A logo was screenshotted at low resolution and the source file is unavailable - You need to clean up a logo before vectorizing it — sharper edges produce cleaner vector traces - A social media platform requires a larger image than your existing logo file
The upscaling process is especially effective before vectorization. Running a 200px logo through the upscaler first and then converting to SVG produces dramatically better vector quality than tracing the low-resolution original directly. The sharper edges give the tracer cleaner boundaries to work with.
Output formats include PNG at 2× or 4× the original resolution. For best results, upload the highest-quality version available as the starting point — upscaling from a blurry 100px image produces less accurate results than starting from a clean 400px logo.
