About Convert PNG to WebP

PNG is the standard lossless format for logos and icons, but PNG files can be large. WebP offers near-identical visual quality at 25–35% smaller file sizes, making it ideal for web performance optimization.

For photographic images or complex gradients, WebP lossy mode at quality 80–90 produces excellent results.

Common use cases include replacing PNG logos in HTML with WebP versions using the picture element for browser fallback support. Most CDNs and image optimization services can also auto-convert PNG to WebP on delivery.

If your PNG logo was originally rasterized from a vector source, vectorize it first to ensure the sharpest possible output at any target resolution before converting to WebP.

After authorized SVG export, use a separate downstream tool to create WEBP and inspect that file for the intended workflow.
