Artwork for DTF Gang Sheet
A DTF gang sheet packs multiple transfer designs onto one large-format film sheet to maximize material usage and reduce per-transfer cost. Print shops order gang sheets containing 10–50+ individual designs per sheet, with each design as a separate transparent PNG file.
About Artwork for DTF gang sheet
Gang sheet printing is the standard production model for DTF transfer shops. Instead of printing each design individually, multiple designs are arranged on a single 22 × 34 inch film sheet. The cost per transfer drops dramatically at gang sheet volume.
Gang sheet file requirements: - Individual design format: 300 DPI PNG with transparent background. These are the building blocks for the sheet layout. - Gang sheet canvas: typically 22 × 34 inches at 300 DPI = 6600 × 10200 pixels. - Spacing between designs: leave 0.25–0.5 inch gaps between designs for clean transfer separation. - No white canvas: the film background must be transparent throughout. Any white areas outside design shapes will print as white ink on the garment. - Colour mode: RGB for all individual designs and the final gang sheet canvas.
Gang sheet ordering services accept files as: - A single large transparent PNG at the supplier's specified dimensions. - Or individual 300 DPI PNG files uploaded to the supplier's gang-sheet builder tool (PrintKick, Rush DTF, Transfers Express).
