Vectorize Logo for Tote Bags
Tote bag printing requires a high-quality logo file. Vectorize your logo to get a clean SVG suitable for screen printing, sublimation, or heat transfer vinyl on canvas and cotton tote bags.
About Vectorize logo for tote bags
Tote bags are printed using screen printing, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), sublimation, or direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. Screen printing and HTV produce the most durable results and are the most common methods for branded promotional tote bags.
Screen printing on tote bags: the most cost-effective method for large quantities. Requires a vector file with flat spot colours — one screen per colour. Vectorize the logo and simplify to 1–3 colours for the most economical screen print. Deliver as SVG or AI with each colour on a separate layer.
Heat transfer vinyl (HTV) for tote bags: HTV is cut from coloured vinyl sheets and heat-pressed onto the tote. A vector cut file is required. After vectorizing, the SVG defines the cut path for the vinyl cutter. Each colour requires a separate cut from a different vinyl colour. Ensure the vectorized logo uses clean, non-overlapping path outlines.
Sublimation printing: works only on polyester-based totes (not cotton). The full design is sublimated as a raster image. Export the vectorized SVG at 300 DPI at print size for the best sublimation result.
DTG printing: direct-to-garment printing prints raster images directly onto fabric. Export the vectorized SVG as a high-resolution PNG (300 DPI) on a transparent background for DTG printing.
Standard tote bag print area: the front panel print area is typically 250mm × 250mm to 350mm × 350mm. Export the vectorized logo at this size for production-ready delivery.
