TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) is a lossless archive format widely used in professional printing and photography. Converting TIFF to PNG reduces file size while maintaining lossless quality and making the image portable and web-compatible.
For logos and illustrations saved as TIFF, the conversion is straightforward. Open the TIFF in any image editor — Photoshop, GIMP, or Preview on macOS — and save or export as PNG. TIFF is not a direct preview input; export the source to PNG, JPEG, or WebP before upload.
For multi-layer TIFF files, flatten the image before exporting to PNG to ensure all artwork is visible in the output. Multi-page TIFFs, common in professional print workflows, require exporting each page individually.
TIFF files used as masters for logo artwork should be kept at full resolution. When converting to PNG for web use, downsample to 72–150 DPI at your target display size to reduce file size appropriately.
If the TIFF contains scanned logo artwork, consider vectorizing it after the PNG conversion.
For TIFF files with extensive scanner noise or film grain, run the Logo Upscaler on the PNG first to sharpen edges before vectorizing.
After authorized SVG export, use a separate downstream tool to create PNG and inspect that file for the intended workflow.
